Writing Letters to Our Local Representative
On February 15, 2016 our members wrote letters to our local representative, asking him to push for a budget passage.
With the Erie School District having the threat of closing hanging over their heads this school year, it is very important to us at Gannon University to encourage a state budget to pass. If Erie School District were to close, it would negatively impact the entire Erie community and the education of hundreds of students.
We believe that education for all students is critical, and so this was an important step for us!
Trick or Vote
This November our members volunteered to go "Trick or Voting" throughout campus housing. They handed out flyers about the upcoming election with Halloween candy. This project allowed our members to engage in Political Action and support candidates that PSEA members believe in. Gannon students responded well by asking questions and giving us the opportunity to discuss Education in politics.
